According to Pinkvilla's report, Rishabh will start shooting for the prequel of 'Kantara' after the second half of this year.
Like the first part, the prequel is also a very ambitious project for Rishabh and production company Hombel Films and they are leaving no stone unturned to make it better.
Rishabh has written the first draft of the film. His team has really liked his idea and script.

Work on the film started in March this year:

On March 22 this year, the production house informed about the commencement of work on the film on Twitter.
The production house had tweeted, 'On this auspicious occasion of Ugadi and New Year, we are happy to announce that the writing of the second part of 'Kantara' has started. We can't wait to bring you another breathtaking story that showcases our connection with nature.'

Rishabh worked as an assistant director in many films. He had produced and acted in films earlier as well, but after 'Kantara' he became a pan India star. This catapulted him to the pinnacle of popularity. Rishabh was the producer-director and writer of this film.

Rishabh does not want to give the audience a chance to complain:
